Ensuring cleaner jet pump intakes with Royal IHC Plumigator - Dredging Today

Royal IHC’s Singapore branch delivered two Plumigator overflows to one of its customers recently.

“Based on their positive experience with the Plumigator, they have decided to use our innovative anti-turbidity solution in stead of green valves,” Royal IHC said.

“The fact that the Plumigator has no additional moving parts and hydraulic oil operated cylinders was one of the main reasons for this customer’s decision. It has proven to be a reliable solution.”

The Plumigator reduces the amount of air released under the vessel through the overflow. This air contributes to a plume of air and fine soil particles entering the jet pump inlets and other auxiliary equipment.

The performance and life of the equipment is adversely affected by the air.

By minimizing the amount of air, the Plumigator ensures a cleaner intake for the jet pumps under the vessel, Royal IHC concluded.
